Back to the Jam is a weekly open mic and jam session hosted by Branch Station at Second Street Music in Philadelphia—a vibrant creative space where musicians gather to experiment, improvise, and exchange ideas in real time. More than a live performance, these sessions serve as a collaborative workshop where raw, spontaneous moments spark the initial creative process, nurturing an experimental environment that pushes traditional boundaries and generates innovative musical ideas.

The journey from jam to song doesn’t end on stage. The most promising ideas are later revisited in dedicated production sessions, where they’re refined and developed further with the right artists—a process exemplified by our debut single, "Like a Baller." A key part of our approach is ensuring that every creative contribution is fully credited. By recognizing the work of all involved, we aim to help community members secure valuable writing credits and placements, strengthening our creative network.

Season 3 begins on February 25, 2025, marking a new chapter in our ongoing exploration of live musical collaboration and creative experimentation.
